3×3 basketball has its own official ball

When 3x3ballers started looking at 3×3 basketball we were surprised to find out that there was a ball specifically designed for the discipline. And we were not alone, as when we had our first tournament, few of the players actually knew about it either.

All official FIBA 3×3 events use the ball for both men and women.

The ball is a size 6, just like the women’s, but actually is the same weight as a size 7, like the men. The manufacturers claim it has been built for the speed of the 3×3 game.

One thing is for sure – the smaller size makes it easier to palm it for one handed dunking.
